Scan reagent labels, extract the details with AI, and keep your inventory organized.
Need help with LabIris? We're happy to assist. The fastest way to reach us is by email — we typically reply within a couple of business days.
Open the Scan tab, tap Add Photos, and take or choose up to 3 photos of a single reagent label (multiple angles of the same label improve accuracy). Tap Extract Label Info and LabIris reads the label and fills in the fields for you.
Yes. On supported devices, LabIris uses on-device Apple Intelligence to scan privately and for free, with no daily limit. You can also turn on Advanced AI for a small number of higher-quality cloud scans each day, or add your own OpenAI API key in Settings for unlimited cloud scans.
Advanced AI sends your photo to a cloud model (OpenAI) for the highest-quality extraction — useful for tricky labels (glare, handwriting, unusual layouts). It's limited to a few scans per day unless you add your own API key.
Go to Settings → API Configuration and paste a key that starts with
sk-. Your key is stored securely in your device's Keychain and is only ever
sent to OpenAI when you scan. You can remove it any time from the same screen.
Go to Settings → Appearance → Theme and choose Light, Dark, or System (which follows your device setting).
Open Saved Labels, tap Select, choose the labels you want, and export them as a CSV file that opens in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.
Your saved scans are stored locally on your device. On-device scans never leave your iPhone or iPad. Cloud (Advanced AI) scans send the photo to OpenAI for processing only. Deleting the app removes your locally saved scans. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
If you see "Couldn't reach the scan service," check your internet connection and tap Retry. For on-device scanning, make sure Apple Intelligence is enabled in your device Settings. If problems persist, email us with the details above.
In Settings → Data → Manage Data you can delete all saved labels. Deleting the app also removes locally stored data.
